Required textbook:  "Principles of Electronic Instrumentation", by Diefenderfer and Holton, 3rd edition.

Course Objective:  To introduce the student to basic principles in electronics.  Topics mentioned in the catalog description include:  electronic measurement fundamentals, passive circuit elements, analog electronics (op amps, transducers, noise reduction), digital electronics (logic gates, flip flops, counters, combinational and sequential circuitry), D/A and A/D conversion, data acquisition techniques.  The laboratory will consist of experiments that complement these topics.
