Sample of previous Exam #3: I've uploaded the short answer questions from last year's Exam #3 to give you a better of idea of the kinds of questions you should be expected to answer. Please do not limit your studying to the types of analysis found in the example (regression, crosstab w/ chi-square, independent sample t-test) as there were several other procedures we discussed since the last exam. You are responsible for everything we've covered since Exam #2.

Template: Sample of a data entry template and the survey on which it was based. (as discussed in class on 3/9/07). I've developed the entire template, so you'll want to see examples of how different types of questions were handled.

Office Hour Adjustment: I need to be in a Department Chair's meeting on four dates that conflict with my scheduled office hours. On those four dates, my office hours will need to be shifted to 10-11 am. The four dates are Wednesday, January 31; Wednesday, February 28; Wednesday, March 28; and Wednesday, April 25.

Homework Assignment #1 (due 2/21/07)

Practice file for class: Practice Data File for 2-16-06 (contains only Q1-20 and only the first 50 respondents)

	Data file: ABC Eye Care Center Excel File
	Survey: ABC Eye Care Center Survey, Word File

Your assignment is to import the ABC Eye Care Center Excel file into SPSS and then define the variable names, labels, and values for variables Q1-Q20 and for Q37-Q38. Save the resulting file as lastname1.sav (i.e, if I were submitting it, it would be drea1.sav) and e-mail it to me (jt-drea@wiu.edu) by 4:30 on 2/21.

Homework Assignment #2 (due 3/30/07)

Your assignment is to do the following:

	Use the *.sav file you created in Homework Assignment #1 as the starting point for this assignment.
	Print the following form, and write your answers to each question on this form.
	Attach your SPSS printout to this form, clearly labeling on the printout the question that is being answered. In other words, take a pen and write a large "I" and circle it next to the information you used to answer Question I, a "II" next to the information used to answer Question II, etc. Homework Assignment #2 Form
